today's a special day! unfortunate but special. haha..

fell during frisbee and ended up w an ugly wound
had horrible tiles at mahjong at jiehao's place
saw my bus leave just as i was getting to the bus stop
detoured to anchorage from holland v cos the cold storage there didn't have the cake mix we needed
was stuck at xiangyun's lift lobby for v long cos there was lift maintenance and workers using the other lift for loading and unloading of construction mtrl

but then.

xianyun raynard and i baked a strawberry cheesecake! okay we cheated. it was just cake mix and no need for baking even, but we still made it and we had lotsa fun! yeaa.. in the end, our cake tray was too big so the cake was like only bout an inch or so thick, the crust was too buttery and the cheese and topping too sweet. and we were still thinking, how can we go wrong with a cake mix that doesn't even require baking? apparently it IS possible. hahahaa.. but we still had fun..

huiyi couldn't make it! stupid A's la.. >< next time we'll try cookies! easier to perfect, we reasoned, since we can always bake just a few each time and keep improving. cakes are too big. every cake is a lot of work. cookies first. after A's we'll do the cake. =P

25/07/08! our 'dream' eatery's founding day. hahaa.. xy will do appetisers, ray the main course, me the desserts and hy the cocktail! haha.. a bit mad. but yea.. we had fun today. =)

its been a long week.. actually it isn't exactly a very long week. perhaps the 4.5 hr sleep on sunday night killed me. though i was seriously energetic on monday. died on tues. and still dying today. haha.. need sleep man.. i used to wake up at 5.30. this morning i decided to just wake up at 6. and tmr's a long day.. thursdays are long days.. >< kinda tired. wondering how you actually survive with so many activities and so little sleep! hats off to you!

haven't been practicing electone. ever since ms sara said no need take exam in nov, its off my priority list. >< mug mug! grades all back. nth great. didn't fail to meet the minimum standards a set for myself at least.. can be a lot better. rather, has to be. 2 Bs 3 Cs. sheesh..

i'm tired!! but i shouldn't be complaining. you're prob a lot more tired than i am.. JIAYOU! =)

i think i just mentioned to someone i'll be going to sleep now. but come to think of it, i'm not exactly sleepy, yet. i slept at 2am last night! i couldn't sleep.. so i gave up trying to sleep and went to write an econs essay. just felt like it. then i overslept and woke up at 6.30 but i still was not late. =P AND i didn't fall asleep in class today! PLUS i went to clock 5km with dion AND i did practice sampling questions AND i finished my halogens tutorial AND i read the newspapers AND i practiced my electone! not bad for 4.5 hrs of sleep huh. i'm kinda proud of myself today. haha..

things weren't actually entirely smooth sailing today. i was kinda disappointed with physics results and more so with econs. i really thought i improved for econs. sheesh.. perhaps that explains why i'm studying so much right now. i intend to keep this level of efficiency. i hope. hhaa.. can do a lot in a day leh! study, exercise, play, still got time to blog lo! and at the end of the day i'm not even exactly tired.

electone was quite sian. my improvisation is not improving at all. sight reading sucks as well. but last week ms sara made things a lot less taxing when she decided it would be better for me to take exam next june than this november. i was like, suree!!! and she proposed a competition in march. well.. if i can take the comp and skip this grade i'll gladly do it. but then again, i won't do well for the comp and i'll be wasting a lot of her effort in arranging the piece. oh well. we'll see.. i will buy a Stagea sometime in my lifetime. I just have to. the sounds, the touch and the programming, my goodness, too good!!

my sis pangseh me, not running tmr! but nvm, i got my brother to go run with me. hahaa.. then i have no choice but to go run tmr. else i would give myself excuses and end up not running. ><

time to plan revision timetable!

OH and magicbox is v nice!! =D money well spent sia.. my first live magic show and it was impressive. =P

now that i'm more sane, let's blog happy memories. haha..

friday. primary school (actually its just e 4 of us haha..) outing! with raynard and huiyi. xiangyun couldn't join us so we're meeting agin on the 19th for breakfast! =P we ate at white dog, talked really long and took 1.5 hours to walk home from vivocity. got home just nice at midnight. beautiful. its really nice that we always have so much to talk to, and at such levels of comfort, even though we meet like once a term or smth? our friendship is pure, innocent and simple. thats why you should go to a neighbourhood primary school!! okay generalisation. haha.. but i'm really glad for them. everytime i look back, i really feel its amazing we're still so close.

and then sat! kinda boring day. everything got quite messed up in the day. but the evening was good! we had hui qing in school. if there's one thing i've felt a part of in this sch, its huang cheng. it was nice to see everyone back and really ncie to see the juniors already looking less like juniors. speaking of which i just rmbed we owe them an stj still... but anyway, we spammed photos. like really spammed. it got so extreme we were taking photos for the 'econs h3 pple' and the 's6 i.e. physics pple' and the 'csc pple' and all kindsa lame things. but it was fun. haha.. some people there i've known for so long, like choonyen, some only since last yr, like jiemin. but all have and will continue to be a big part of my life.

the sunday! service as usual with zoe and kelly. i sure hope they continue coming.. then group time at zhiyun's place with some really deep topic of study which i dun quite understand as of now even though nat and i facillitated the discussion. i never knew it was that complicated though. always thought it was really simple. guess i never really gaave much thought to it.

060708-sunday evening was one of the best too.. haha.. anything that has got to do with sqdmates is magical to say the least. we met at city hall and as usual waited for about an hour. i think thats the standard for us lor. somehow we always end up waiting for an hour. haha.. then went to fish and co for food. i think our sqd really grew a lot.. from the very simple things like the way both guys and girls mix, its obvious we've come a long way. last time we used to sit separately at je and like keep trying to mix but end up arguing lots. all the sweat and tears. nostalgia.. hahaa.. went down to the merlion place right next to esplanade and took lotsa photos too. then started talking bout rated stuff and vivien couldn't resist wacking pple there. but we had fun. and i really enjoyed having all of them around.. sqdmates are one of the dearest dearest peoples..

well. thats it for the long weekend. the impt pple in my life. what more can i say?
